In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.”
Moses encountered a burning bush… Abraham met three strange men… Elijah heard a quiet whisper… …and life was never the same again.
I wonder what it would be like to meet God like that. What would it be like to have God show up right in the middle of, well, life, and change everything?
I understand the word “epiphany” means “a revelation of a divine being.” That’s what I want! That’s what I dream of… That’s what Moses, Abraham, Elijah, Isaiah and so many others experienced. Some days, I wake up and think, “If I could just meet God, even for just a few moments, then I could really embrace His Will…” If God would just be present in my life, I know I would be different.
But, that’s just a dream, right? I mean, it would take a miracle… An act of God…
Actually, come to think of it, it would take something like…Christmas.
Jesus was born in a manger so He could live in a heart…Yours.
Consider your epiphany delivered… Now, I guess we all have to change…
