I just read Seth Godin’s blog (www.sethgodin.typepad.com – you should definitely check it out!) and had an incredible moment of clarity. His most recent blog is only a couple lines long but hit me where I live… “Anxiety is nothing but repeatedly re-experiencing failure in advance. What a waste.”
So, here’s my confession – I lead out of fear and competition.
I am afraid of missing deadlines and not being as good as the last guy. I am afraid of someone thinking another leader/church did something with more quality than I did.
To quote Seth, “What a waste.” God designed me (and you) to lead out of boldness and cooperation.
