1,440 minutes a day…
That’s all you get.
Things come up, we look at schedules, notice we’re booked and often make the statement, ‘I’ll have to make time for that.’
The truth is, though, it is utterly and completely impossible to MAKE time. You have the time you’re given and that’s it. No more. No less.
The key is discovering ways to REDEEM time in a healthy, God-centered way…
Instead of spending hours surfing the Internet, playing video games or ‘stalking’ people on facebook, grab your phone and give someone an encouraging call.
Instead of considering your job or school to be a complete waste of time, intentionally approach those 8 hours as a captive audience to witness you living out the Gospel.
Instead of reading yet another novel, pick up the Bible and let God become your favorite author.
If we say to God, ‘I’m sacrificing my life to You,’ but hold back our time, we’re not truly surrendering to Him. We’re saying there’s a portion of our life that we’d rather He not touch because He’s not qualified and He might mess up ‘my’ time.
And when we reserve the right to do our own scheduling, we open up the door for Satan to discover attractive, sneaky ways to lure us away from where we want to be.
Today, let God have control of your calendar and let Him schedule the things that will lead you into a full, satisfied life.
