The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.
Here’s what Luke didn’t write…
“The disciples announced that their new name was ‘Christians’ at Antioch.”
They were called Christians because people noticed they looked like Christ. They sounded like Christ. They acted like Christ. They loved like Christ. And they lived like Christ.
Simply put, their lives reminded people of Christ so much that they called them “Christians.” They didn’t have to announce themselves or brand themselves or label themselves. They just let their lives speak for them.
What are people calling you?
