We’re picking up a young man from Spain today. He’s a foreign exchange student who’ll be with us through the end of this school year. It’s been a wild ride, as we just came upon the opportunity to host him last Wednesday.
As you might expect, there are people who ask us, “Don’t you need more time to think about it?” And my answer to them is… “Absolutely not.”
Simply, God has blessed our family with resources and empty rooms in our house and we’ve been praying for Him to fill those rooms. An opportunity came up, a door opened and we answered the call. It’s this simple… If you ask God for an opportunity, don’t hesitate when it comes. Recognize the potential and sieze the moment.
As we’ve quickly prepared to expand our family, I’ve been reminded of a post I wrote after our first exchange student returned to her home country. Having her with us was definitely “The Best Decision I’ve Made In The Past Year.” Check out that story and then consider… Have you been seizing the opportunities God has been laying in front of you? Taking time to pray is great, but using “prayer” to stall for time is sinful.
