On the appointed day Herod, wearing his royal robes, sat on his throne and delivered a public address to the people. They shouted, “This is the voice of a god, not of a man.” Immediately, because Herod did not give praise to God, an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died.
But the word of God continued to increase and spread.
Imagine being so used to seeing God’s power exercised that it became normal to you.
If you’re like most Christians I know, your most common prayer is for God to bless your food and your biggest prayer is for God to heal your Grandma. You pray those prayers every day, but if you woke up tomorrow and Grandma was healed, it would blow your mind.
Instead, imagine a life where God’s power is so normal you never miss a beat when you see it.
That’s the life God promises. You be the hands and He will be the power. You be the feet and He will be the miracle.
When God wows an unbelieving culture with His unbelievable power, He’s opening the door for you to do amazing work.
Don’t let yourself be caught standing there in the crowd with your mouth hanging open. Be ready.
